The council will discuss whether to...

  • Raise rental rates at Blenheim. The city will also consider adding a la carte items for renters.
  • Negotiate further or quickly take over property at the intersection of Fairfax Boulevard and Jermantown Road for road improvements. City staff offered payment to the property owners, but so far no agreement has been made. Council will decide whether to "quick take" the property.
  • Set new rules that non City-sponsored special events, particularly road races, would have to abide by.
  • Approve Fairfax City's portion of the Northern Virginia Water Supply Plan.
  • Waive business property taxes for the Northern Virginia Intergroup, a non-profit that helps Alcoholics Anonymous groups in the area.
  • Award a bid for safety netting at one of Providence Elementary School's fields. The netting will prevent balls from making it over the sound wall and disrupting Interstate 66 traffic.
