One Dead, Two Seriously Injured in Twinbrook-Braddock Motorcycle Crash
Three bikers plowed into the side of the Lexus as it made a left turn.
An Annandale motocyclist died last night after a Maryland driver turned left in front of him and another biker at Braddock and Twinbrook. Two more remain grievously injured.
Both 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycles hit the passenger side of the 63-year-old woman's 1997 Lexus sedan as it turned left in front of them onto Twinbrook from westbound Braddock at around 7 p.m. The bikers tried to stop, to no avail.
William Tyler Cowherd, 45, of 4605 Medford Drive, died in Inova Fairfax Hospital from his injuries, according to Fairfax County Police. Cowherd's passenger, a 44-year-old Annandale woman, and the driver of the second motorcycle, a 50-year-old Manassas man, were severely injured, though are expected to survive.

The driver of the Lexus remained after the accident. She was not injured. All bikers were wearing helmets. Police believe speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
