Pedestrian Struck By Fairfax Connector Bus In Fair Oaks: Police
A pedestrian received life-threatening injuries Tuesday night, during a crash involving a Fairfax Connector bus, according to police.

FAIR OAKS, VA — A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Tuesday night after he was struck by a Fairfax Connector bus at Government Center Parkway and Monument Drive near Fair Oaks, according to authorities.
The bus driver remained on the scene of the crash, according to an 8:22 p.m. post on the Fairfax County Police Department's official X account.
Monument Drive was closed in both directions for several hours to allow crash reconstruction detectives process the scene, according to police. Monument Drive reopened around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

"The pedestrian remains hospitalized with serious injuries," an FCPD public information officer told Patch early Wednesday afternoon. "The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation, and charges for the driver are pending."
