Police Arrest Boy for Kicking Out Window, Man for Swapping Price Tags

Latest crime news:

• Shoplifting Arrest, K-Mart: Daniel Alan Chenault, 25, of Woodbridge was arrested for allegedly switching price tags on merchandise and paying less than the actual cost of the product at the register. A security officer saw him take the purchased goods to his car at around 6 p.m. on Sept. 20 and return for supposedly another round of price tag swapping when he was detained. Chenault was charged with petit larceny.
• Vandalism Arrest, Ulta: A 14-year-old Fairfax area resident was arrested after he allegedly kicked out a plate glass window at the front of the store. The store manager told police that he and a group of youths were acting disorderly in Ulta at the time of the window-kicking at around 4 p.m. on Sept. 29. The juvenile was charged with destruction of property.
• Identity Theft, Jim McKay Chevrolet: Someone used a Woodbridge woman's identifying information to submit an application for a loan at the dealership on Sept. 24. The dealership contacted the woman, who expressed her confusion. The application was not processed.
• Vandalism, 9700 Block of Ranger Road: Someone(s) threw white paint on the hood and roof of a vehicle parked on Ranger Road sometime after 5 p.m. on Sept. 28.
