Police Investigate Report of Teen Brandishing Gun at McDonald's
Also: Maryland woman arrested for shoplifting at Marshalls in Fairfax City after merchandise, pliers found in car.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Police responded Tuesday morning to a report of a teenager brandishing a gun at an area McDonald's.

Police arrived at the restaurant, located at 4040 Jermantown Road Tuesday at 9:06 a.m. An officer investigating the report found out the gun was actually a BB gun, but also determined that the subject was wanted for two outstanding warrants from Fairfax County.
Tyson Rascher, 18, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where the Fairfax County warrants charging brandishing a firearm and abduction were served and he was ordered held without bond.

Here are some of the other recent incidents from the latest Fairfax City Police crime report, released Wednesday:
- Shoplifting Arrest 16-05375, 16-05386, 16-05388: 9640 Main Street / Marshalls – On April 4 at 12:39 p.m. a security officer reported that he had observed a female subject take items of merchandise from the store without paying and had detained her. During a search of her illegally parked vehicle, police officers discovered additional items of merchandise and several pairs of pliers. Rachel Maria McDowell, 43, of 4607 Dallas Place, Temple Hills, Maryland, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where she was charged with grand larceny and possession of burglarious tools. It was subsequently determined that she also had taken items from the store without paying on February 13 and March 24. She was charged with two additional counts of grand larceny.
- Unauthorized Use Arrest 16-05402: 9860 Fairfax Square / Van Metre Companies – On April 4 at 6:18 p.m. a manager reported that on March 31 an employee had taken a work truck without permission and had not returned it. On April 5 at 11:30 a.m. an officer conducting a follow-up investigation at the apartment complex observed the suspect drive up in the missing truck. Hector A. Castellanos Manrique, 37, of 7597 Gales Court, Manassas, was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and his bond was set at $2500.
- Threats 16-05446: 10996 Fairfax Boulevard / Carpet Palace – On April 5 at 11:01 AM the owner reported that an unknown male subject had entered the store, asked for employment and after being told no jobs were available, then asked for money. When asked to leave, the subject became irate and made threats to the owner and his property. The suspect then left the area in a vehicle.
