Police: Old Man Punches Another in Face Over Political Argument

Today's crime news.

Fairfax City Police are investigating a politics-spurred punch and bus stop rage. This and more in today's crime report: 

  • Assault, intersection of Main and North Streets: Police say an unknown elderly man punched another in the face when he did not agree with his political views. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on July 4.
  • Vandalism, intersection of Old Lee Hwy and Willard Way: An unknown man kicked out a bus stop glass window and yelled obscenities at around 2:30 p.m. on July 3. 
  • Larceny arrest, : Douglas George Williams, 46, of no fixed address was recently charged with felony petit larceny after he allegedly hid an alcoholic beverage in his pants and left the store without paying on June 2. The charges are because of his prior history with larcenies, according to police.
