Police Search Judicial Center for Man With Gun
The suspect and weapon have yet to be found.

Police scoured the Fairfax County Judicial Center on Chain Bridge Road yesterday afternoon for a man with a handgun.
Workers at 10640 Page Avenue in the center contacted police when two men started arguing outside the office building at around 3:30 p.m., according to Fairfax City Police. They headed inside, where one of the men brandished a handgun.
The allegedly armed suspect fled as police arrived.

Fairfax City Police, assisted by Fairfax County Police, the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office and a Fairfax County Police helicopter, conducted an intensive search of the office building, the courthouse complex parking garages, the Post Office parking garage and the City Cemetery area.
Judicial Center employees and volunteers were stuck in their offices during the search, unable to reach their vehicles as police blocked off Page Avenue and barred entry to a parking garage.

"[We] are all stuck in our offices because our cars are in this garage!" said Lisa Whetzel, executive director of Our Daily Bread.
Neither the suspect nor a weapon was located.
