Police Seek Suspects in Overturned Planters, Bad Checks, Written Threats
Police activity from Nov. 2-8.

Fairfax City police responded to calls of overturned planters, bad checks and threats last week. Here are the details:
- A traffic stop led police to arrest a man awaiting deportation by federal authorities on November 2. Alejandro Rivera-Rendon, 27, of 1711 Maurice Drive, Woodbridge allegedly gave police fake Social Security and resident cards when he was stopped at 3:30 p.m. on Chain Bridge Road and School Street. He was transported to the county adult detention center and held without bond.
- Police are looking for suspect(s) who turned over several planters in front of a Daniels Run Way home between 5-6 p.m. on November 5.
- A 19-year-old Main Street woman was arrested shortly after 8 p.m. on November 5 for allegedly threatening an 11-year-old girl. The girl's mother called police after a relative received threatening messages targeting the child. Christian Lista Segovia of 10570 Main Street was charged with making threats of death or bodily injury by letter and held at the adult detention center.
- Fairfax City's Patrol Division is looking for suspect(s) who stole a backpack from Einstein Brothers Bagels on November 5 and used a credit card left inside to purchase items in the surrounding city and county areas.
- Another vehicle went missing from a Fairfax City dealership last week. A manager at Fairfax Hyundai on Fairfax Boulevard contacted police after realizing someone(s) had stolen a 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS from the dealership's parking lot sometime between 3 p.m. on August 16 and 11 a.m. on November 5. for more missing vehicle reports.
- Fairfax Hyundai also called police after a customer paid for a car with a bad check. The manager said the customer wrote the check on January 9. Shortly after, a stop payment was placed on the check. Another customer wrote a check for a down payment for a car on January 23. The checking account didn't have sufficient funds to complete the transaction. The Criminal Investigations Division is looking into these two incidents.
