Police: Soccer Pro Shop in Fairfax Under Investigation
No one has yet been charged, but police are looking into whether the store sold counterfeit apparel.

Virginia State Police are investigating the Soccer Pro Shop at 10342 Lee Highway in Fairfax, for possibly selling counterfeit athletic apparel, according to a Fairfax County Police Department search warrant affidavit.
Among the items seized in a recent search: a T-shirt press and handheld iron, hundreds of unprinted Nike jerseys, shin guards and hats, according to the police report.
"All items from each of the undercover purchases were examined by an expert…who verified that all the items were indeed counterfeit goods," wrote the investigating officer in the search warrant affidavit. "Based upon this investigation it is clear the Soccer Pro Shop and their employees are engaged in the sale of counterfeit products to members of the public."

No one has been charged in connection with this investigtion.
The store manager told Patch that allegations against the store were unfounded and would not comment further, except to say that the owner of shop, Danial Agahi, was on vacation and could not be reached. Agahi's lawyer did not return Patch's phone calls.

If charged and convicted of selling of selling counterfeit products, Agahi would face a civil action against any of the companies from which he allegedly profited.
The police began investigating the store last month. After two visits and purchases totaling $371, an independent investigator from Blazer Investigations reported that he believed the store was selling counterfeit products as name brand clothing.
