Purse Theft at Hotel, Fake ID, Jewelry Burglary: Police
Here's a look at the most recent incidents reported by the Fairfax City Police, including an iPhone that was reportedly stolen.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Here's a look at the most recent incidents reported by the Fairfax City Police Department in their crime report released Tuesday:
- Larceny 16-05082: 10327 Fairfax Boulevard / Holiday Inn Express – On March 31 at 11:09 AM the victim reported that sometime after 7:00 PM on March 30 unknown person(s) had stolen her purse which she had left in a room at the inn. The purse contained cash, identification, keys and prescription medication.
- Larceny 16-05238: 10950 Fairfax Boulevard / Verizon Wireless Store – On April 2 at 4:28 PM an employee reported that about 2:30 PM unknown person(s) had taken his iPhone which he had left on a counter in the store.
- Fictitious Identification Arrest 16-05306: 10911 Maple Street – On April 3 at 6:00 PM a passenger in a vehicle on which a traffic stop had been initiated presented a fictitious immigration identification card when being interviewed by an officer. Douglas Romero Portillo, 19, of 3203 Allen Street, Falls Church, was issued a summons for possessing false identification. He subsequently was uncooperative when asked to leave the area and was taken into custody and transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with drunk in public.
- Burglary 16-05327: 10800 Block of Fairchester Drive – On April 4 at 6:58 AM the residents reported that unknown person(s) had entered the home and taken several pieces of jewelry. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
