Ringling Bros. Circus Train Hits Car Stopped on Tracks
A performer was injured Thursday at a show in Fairfax; Monday night, a circus train hit a car stopped on railroad tracks.

A Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey circus train carrying performers and animals struck a car stopped on the tracks Monday night just before midnight in Chesterfield County, south of Richmond.

The driver, whose car was allegedly stopped on the tracks, was ticketed, according to several media reports.
The car was dragged about a half mile down the tracks, the Associated Press reported. The 22 year-old driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a report by WRIC.

The circus just recently wrapped a string of performances in Northern Virginia.
A performer with the circus was injured Thursday at a show in Fairfax, at George Mason University's EagleBank Arena, during an "extreme cycling" act.
The circus train was headed Monday night from South Carolina to Massachusetts, according to a report by WTVR in Richmond.
