Run Red, Pay $50

The warning period is up. Drivers who run red at two notorious city intersections now get a citation and fine.

Installed about a month ago, the red-light cameras capture drivers who run red lights at the North Street and University Drive intersection, and Fairfax Boulevard at Fairfax Circle. These cameras watch both eastbound and westbound traffic.

Violators get a $50 fine. They can pre-pay the fine online or contest it in city traffic court.
