Saturday's Fall Festival Detours

Drivers should stay away from downtown Fairfax City Saturday as the Fall Festival will take up much of Old Town. There will be detours for those traveling along Main Street in both directions.

• Eastbound Main Street: Traffic will turn right on Judicial Drive, right on Chain Bridge Road, left on Armstrong Street, left on Barbour Drive, right on Sager Avenue, left on Locust Street, right on Main St. eastbound. 
• Note: Traffic can only turn right (eastbound) from Locust Street onto Main Street.
• Westbound Main Street: Traffic will turn right on Old Lee Highway, left on Layton Hall, right on University Drive, left on Kenmore Drive, left on Chain Bridge Road and right on North Street to Main Street westbound.
• Note: University Drive will be closed from Armstrong to Whitehead Street and will follow the detour.
• North Street will be closed this year to make way for a larger festival.

If it rains on Saturday, these detours will take place on Sunday, the festival's rain date.
