UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm and Now Flash Flood Warning
Storms could produce winds of over 60 mph.
UPDATE (3:33 p.m.): Thunderstorm warning extended to 4:15 p.m. for firefighter activity in the area.
UPDATE (3:13 p.m.): Fairfax is now under a flash flood warning until 6 p.m. Flood prone areas include Fairfax Boulevard at University Drive, Fairfax Boulevard at Oak Street, and Pickett Road at Old Pickett Road. Do not drive through water-covered streets.
A severe thunderstorm is heading toward Fairfax City. National Weather Service has issued a warning until 3:15 p.m.

NWS has also issued a thunderstormwatch until 10 p.m.
Doppler radar picked up a line of severe thunderstorms that could produce damaging winds of over 60 mph stretching from Wolf Trap to Reston and Herndon.
