Smash and Grab in Health Club Parking Lot: Police
Purse taken from smashed out window of a car, police said. Police also investigate an identity theft case involving a nursing license.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Here's a look at the most recent incidents from the Fairfax City Police crime report:

Vandalism 16-05292: 4100 Block of Oxford Lane – On April 3 at 10:03 AM the owners of two vehicles reported that sometime after 6:30 PM on April 2 unknown person(s) had scratched the paint on their parked vehicles. A third similar incident was reported on April 4.

Identity Theft 16-05572: 10365 Democracy Lane / Old Dominion Home Care – On April 7 at 11:31 AM the owner reported that a female subject she had hired as a nursing assistant had been using the identification, documentation and nursing license of another person. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
Larceny 16-05589: 9602 Main Street / Lifetime Athletic Parking Lot – On April 7 at 7:47 PM a witness reported that he had heard the smashing of a car window and observed a male subject running away from the area. The vehicle owner reported that her purse had been taken from the vehicle. The purse contained identification and credit cards.
