FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax and Fairfax County government offices will be closed on Monday due to the winter storm.

A winter storm spreading ice, snow and bitter arctic cold across the country could dump nearly a foot of snow across much of Northern Virginia starting Sunday night and wrapping up overnight Tuesday, according to forecasters. Residents are being asked to stay off the roads Sunday and Monday as snowfall ramps up.

  • Monday's City of Fairfax School Board meeting is canceled.
  • CUE Bus service has been suspended for Monday.
  • Fairfax County General District, Circuit and Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts are closed on Monday.

George Mason University administrative offices are closed on Monday, as well as in-person classes and events at all George Mason University campuses due to the winter weather.
