Spread Warmth This Month by Donating Your Unwanted Coats

Going through your winter wardrobe and have unwanted coats?

It’s getting colder and there are people in the area who could use your extra outerwear. Coats are essential when the temperature starts to drop as there are many health problems that come with not wearing a coat. Research shows being exposed to cold temperatures weakens your immune system, resulting in an increased risk of getting sick. In addition, skin irritation and frostbite may occur without sufficient layers.

The Providence, a new assisted living and memory care community in Fairfax’s MetroWest neighborhood, is hosting a coat drive from November 1st through December 1st from 11:30am - 2:00pm daily.

Next time you go through your closet, set aside items below to bring to The Providence at 9490 Sprague Avenue in Fairfax.
