Stolen Vehicle Alert Helps Fairfax City Police Nab 2 Suspects: Report
Based on an alert generated by FLOCK detection technology, Fairfax City Police recover a stolen vehicle and arrest two suspects.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A tip from the FLOCK alert system helped City of Fairfax Police to recover a stolen vehicle and arrest two suspects, according to police.
Based on the alert, officers conducted a traffic stop of the stolen vehicle around 11:36 p.m. on Dec. 30 near the intersection of Fairfax Boulevard and Main Street in the Kamp Washington area.
Both the driver,(removed), and passenger, 33-year-old Christopher Richards of an undetermined address, both had outstanding warrants out of Fairfax and Loudoun counties, according to police.

Both (removed) and Richards were arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held without bond, according to police.
“Fairfax City VA PD uses Flock Safety technology to capture objective evidence without compromising on individual privacy,” according to a post on the police department’s transparency portal. “Fairfax City VA PD utilizes retroactive search to solve crimes after they've occurred. Additionally, Fairfax City VA PD utilizes real time alerting of hotlist vehicles to capture wanted criminals."
