Suspect Punches Man in Face, Throws Him Into Hallway, Locks Himself in Victim's Apartment
Police arrested a Herndon man for a strange home invasion Tuesday morning.

Fairfax City Police arrested a Herndon man who allegedly forced his way into an apartment, punched a resident in the face, then locked the door and refused to come out.
Police said that Jamier Bamarni, 28, tried to force his way into an apartment in the 4000 block of Hallman Street Tuesday morning. The resident heard a noise and found the suspect sitting on the stairway. Barmani allegedly tried to rush into the apartment, but the resident was able to close and lock his door in time.
A neighbor wasn't so lucky. When the he opened his door to investigate the commotion, Barmarni allegedly punched him in the face, threw him out into the hallway and locked himself in the man's apartment.

Officers tried to coax Barmarni from the apartment, to no avail. They broke in and arrested him. He suffered minor injuries and was treat at the scene.
Barmani faces burglary, grand larceny, assault and battery charges. He was held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.
