TITLE Boxing Opens in Fairfax

The boxing club hopes to create a community among its members.

Darryl Ayers hopes to change the way people work out in Fairfax City

His new business, TITLE Boxing Club, opened in Courthouse Plaza in August, focusing on interval-based workouts that emphasize intense cardio and boxing exercises.

The club will celebrate with an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, a chance for locals to try out the club's "power hour" workout, and take advantage of prizes, give-aways and enrollment discounts. It's asking residents to call in advance (703-591-1900) to make an appointment for the 5:30 p.m. boxing or 7 p.m. kickboxing classes.

"Consumers are tired of the same old traditional gym model and are searching for a workout program that will give them fast results they can actually see,” said Danny Campbell, co-founder and partner of TITLE BoxingClub. “The TITLE Boxing Club workout is based on a professional boxer’s training regimen, so it’s actually going to give members the results they want while at the same time changing them from a physical and mental level."

Ayers said the TITLE Boxing formula is popular especially among women between the ages of 30-45.

“TITLE Boxing Club is filling a niche in the fitness industry," Ayers said. “The 60-minute workout guarantees results and the non-threatening environment appeals to women. The concept is really catching fire and we’re excited to be able to offer such a fun, effective workout to residents in the area.”

Ayers hopes the Fairfax location will mimic the success of TITLE's 30 other locations across the nation, including recent locations in Herndon and Springfield.

“We form a sort of community in the clubs and we strive for each and every member of that family to be successful," Ayers said. "Unlike traditional gyms, we aren’t offering a social hour. You come here to work harder than you have ever worked before and leave with a new outlook on what fitness is all about and how it can change your life.”
