The City of Fairfax is currently seeking residents who want to make a difference in life in our town by filling a number of vacancies on official City boards and commissions.

• Board of Building Code Appeals: Two positions - Mechanical/Plumbing or Fire Protection Positions

• Commission for Women:  vacancy

• Commission on Organ Tissue Donation and Transplantation: One City representative position

• Commission on the Arts: One business representative position

• Community Appearance Committee: One city resident or business representative

• Environmental Sustainability Committee: One city resident position

• Fairfax Alcohol Safety Action Program Policy Board: One for a city resident

• George Mason University Fairfax Campus Advisory Board: One Council designee position

• Northern Virginia Community College Board (effective June 30, 2013): One city resident position

• Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (effective Sept. 1, 2013): One city resident position
