  • VolunteerFest: This marks the 17th year of Volunteer Fairfax's day of service. Search this database for how you can help out in your neighborhood. All day, various locations.
  • Johnny Reb and Billy Yank: Hear stories from both sides of the Civil War as told by Gary Lloyd. Cosponsored by the John and Erie Hopkins Educational and Charitable Trust through the Fairfax Library Foundation. Ages 8 and up. City of Fairfax Regional Library, 10:30 a.m.
  • Farmer's Market: The Community Farmer's Market runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind Wachovia Bank and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Fairfax Surf Shop parking lot.

  • NRBK and Heather Haze: Both bands perform at Old Firestation No. 3. Open to all ages. Doors open at 4 p.m.
