ICYMI: Woodson High Among Top 10 High Schools in Virginia: US News

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Woodson High School, located at 9525 Main St. in Fairfax, ranks #7 of all high schools in Virginia, according to rankings released Tuesday by US News & World Report.

Woodson ranked #200 in the nation, according to the annual survey.

The school has 2,246 students and is one of 30 high schools in the Fairfax County Public Schools system. With 158 teachers, the school has a 14 to 1 student-teacher ratio.

US News says at Woodson, "Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Woodson High is 81 percent. The student body makeup is 51 percent male and 49 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 40 percent."
