South County Marching Band Preps For Season

The  band and color guard are hard at work preparing for their four-tune halftime show performance.  They've spent the last few weeks learning hundreds of steps. 

Stained glass is the theme of this year's performance, and the songs include "Blue Cathedral" and "The Engulfed Cathedral". 

"It's all about the first time that you walk into a cathedral and how it makes you feel when you see the splendor of all the stain glass windows," said Gary English, South County's Director of Bands.

The first home game for the South County varsity football team is on Sept. 7. The Stallions play Oakton.
