FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A pedestrian was robbed at knifepoint Friday in the Bailey's Crossroads area, police said Monday morning. The armed robbery took place in the 6000 block of Vista Drive, near where others were robbed a week earlier, also at knifepoint.

Friday's robbery took place at about 1 a.m., when a 46-year old man walking home from work was approached by a man who displayed a knife and demanded cash and his phone, police said. The victim complied and the suspect ran off.

Police say the suspect was described as Hispanic, in his mid-30s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white stripes and black pants. The victim did not require medical attention.
