April Recognitions Announced at Falls Church Council Meeting
Howard Herman Day set for April 10

When Howard Herman, director of Department of Parks and Recreation for the City of Falls Church, retires April 1 after 40 years of service, he will be honored with his own day.
Monday at the City Council meeting, Mayor Nader Baroukh announced that April 10 will be Howard Herman Day and a celebration will be held at the Falls Church Community Center. An emotional Herman appeared at the meeting to receive a proclamation from Baroukh and city council.
Baroukh also announced the city will recognize Donate to Life Month throughout the month of April.
