Back-To-Back Storms Dampen Weekend Forecast In NoVA, DC

Temperatures will be warmer but there is a potential for two storm systems to put a damper on weekend plans in Northern Virginia and DC.

VIRGINIA — Back-to-back storm chances may dampen the plans of Northern Virginia and DC families heading to holiday festivities and shopping during the first weekend of December.

Temperatures will warm up this weekend, but several chances of rain are in the forecast too. According to AccuWeather, the DC region and much of the Northeast and Midwest could see milder conditions start Thursday, but storms coming from the south will bring precipitation.

For upper parts of the Northeast and Midwest, that precipitation could come in the form of snow and rain. But with high temperatures lingering in the weekend, the DC region is forecast to get rain or showers starting Friday.
