Bank Robbery Suspect Found After Fleeing on Foot

Suspect had fled on foot and was found by officers canvassing the surrounding neighborhood, according to Falls Church officials.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — The suspect in an afternoon bank robbery was swiftly taken into custody on Friday, according to Falls Church officials.

The robbery was just prior to 3 p.m. at the Capital One Bank at 1100 W. Broad Street.

The suspect reportedly entered the bank, implied he had a weapon and demanded money.

No injuries were reported and the suspect fled the area on foot.

Police canvassed the surrounding neighborhood, and an officer found the suspect based on the description by witnesses and he was placed under arrest.

Police have not released the name of the suspect.
