FBI: Serial 'Ballcap Bandit' Bank Robbery Suspect Strikes Again
This time, the man wearing yet a different sports ballcap robbed the Wells Fargo bank in the City of Falls Church.
UPDATE Thursday 12:35 p.m.: Officials said Thursday that the suspect in the robbery of the Wells Fargo bank in Falls Church Wednesday implied he had a gun.
Authorities say that this is a new development; in two previous robberies in the past four weeks, the suspect only handed a note to the tellers.

FALLS CHURCH, VA -- The FBI said Wednesday that a suspect who robbed a bank in Falls Church Wednesday is the same man wanted in two other bank robberies within the past four week in the region.
On Wednesday, the "ballcap bandit" robbed a bank in Falls Church wearing what authorities said appears to be a Colorado Rockies cap and the same coat he had on while robbing the Wells Fargo bank April 28 in Alexandria, the spokesman said.

In previous robberies, the suspect wore an Oakland Raiders cap and a Brooklyn Nets cap.
Bank Robbery Suspect: Police Release Images
Here's a timeline of the robberies:
- Monday, April 18: Suntrust Bank in Del Ray
- Thursday, April 28: Wells Fargo Bank in Alexandria
- Wednesday, May 11: Wells Fargo Bank in Falls Church
The suspect robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 1000 W. Broad St. at about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, the City of Falls Church said in an alert.
Police weren't sure whether the suspect had a weapon, the City said in a news release about the robbery. No injuries were reported from any employees or customers.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
Anyone with information should contact the City of Falls Church Police at 703-241-5053.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robbery suspect.
In Alexandria, police ask that anyone with information about this incident call Detective Christine Deibes at 703-746-6819.
