Falls Church Election Results: How Precincts Voted In Key Races
All City of Falls Church precincts favored Saddam Salim and Marcus Simon in the state races and three projected winners for City Council.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — City of Falls Church voters had numerous state and local races on the ballot, including three City Council seats. Voter turnout was close to 50 percent, according to Virginia Department of Elections preliminary data.
For state elections, Falls Church voters helped decide the Virginia Senate 37 and House 13 seats.
Democrats won majorities in the Virginia House and Senate while local House and Senate incumbents won re-election. In the 37th Senate District race, Democrat Saddam Azlan Salim is the projected winner with 68.14 percent of votes, while Republican Ken Reid received 31.46 percent of votes. In the 13th House District, Democrat Marcus Simon is the projected winner with 78.19 percent of votes, while Libertarian Dave Crance received 20.54 percent of votes.

In the City Council race, projected winners are Letty Hardi with 26.57 percent of votes, Erin Flynn with 25.72 percent of votes and Justine Underhill with 24.90 percent of votes. Tim Stevens received 21.52 percent of votes.
The School Board race featured three uncontested candidates for three seats. Projected winners are Bethany Henderson with 32.36 percent of votes, Amie Murphy with 31.76 percent, and Jerrod Anderson with 30.93 percent.

City of Falls Church voters also cast ballots for two Arlington County races. Parisa Dehghani-Tafti was unopposed in the race for Commonwealth's Attorney in Arlington County and Falls Church and won 91.32 percent of votes. Paul Ferguson was unopposed for Arlington County and Falls Church Clerk of Court and won 97.38 percent of votes.
