Falls Church Ready for Fourth of July
Fireworks, fun and celebration on the nation's birthday in "The Little City."

If you’re looking for something to do in Falls Church on the Fourth of July, there are a few things going on.
There will be fireworks, music and food to celebrate the nation’s birthday.
The city’s annual July 4th Independence Day Celebration will once again be held at and is free to the public. A reading of the nation’s founding documents will be read inside council chambers inside .

Here is the schedule of events:
Noon – Independence Day Readings of the Founding Documents of the Nation, sponsored by the Falls Church Village Preservation and Improvement Society

7 p.m. – Live music from Judo Chop will begin on the school’s athletic fields
9:20 p.m. – Fireworks will begin (a rain date is set for July 5)
Alcohol, personal fireworks or smoking are not permitted on school grounds.
Here are is a list of government offices in the City of Falls Church that will be closed on July 4th:
• City Hall
• Community Center
• Courts
• DMV Select Office in City Hall
• Mary Riley Styles Public Library
• Senior Center
• Sheriff’s Office
Solid waste (trash and recycling) pick-up will be picked up on July 4 as scheduled. To ensure pick-up, please have items out the night before.
