FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A screening of “Unmasked” is planned for Thursday at Luther Jackson Middle School. The film opens discussion of suicide awareness. Here's more information about the making of the film:
Saddened by clusters of youth suicides in their town of Palo Alto, Calif., a group of high school students were driven to produce the 35-minute documentary “Unmasked.” Their desire was to further open community conversations about mental health, with an emphasis on hope, communication and moving forward.
Community of Solutions is hosting a FREE presentation of the documentary followed by a panel of youth-led interviews, discussion with producers, and community Q&A. The event will be held on Thursday, October 13, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Luther Jackson Middle School Auditorium. Resource tables will be available at 6:30 and the film will begin at 7 p.m., followed by the panel/discussion.
