Grab & Go: Events for Moms and Kids in Falls Church

Each Wednesday, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week. You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Passport to the World: Anansegromma

Where/When: , 111 Park Ave., Falls Church, Saturday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Anansegromma’s program includes an introduction to West African clothing, musical instruments and cultures, then proceeds to include the audience in an interactive experience with games, dance, drama and drums.

Tot’s Rock!

Where/When: Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Independence Ave at 6th Street, SW, Saturday, March 5, 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: Tots Rock! brings together three of the museum’s most popular activities for kids ages three through eight: a planetarium show starring Big Bird and Elmo; story time and a children’s band.

Designing Greeting Cards 101

Why Go: Learn rubberstamping and paper crafting basics including techniques, tools, materials, and papers that will speed you on your way to creating your 
own handmade and professional-looking cards, invitations and more.
