In-person Absentee Voting for August Commonwealth Attorney Race Starts Friday in Falls Church

Voter registration ends Aug. 1.

Starting Friday, registered voters who won’t be around to vote during the Democratic Primary Election for the Commonwealth’s Attorney on Aug. 23 can cast their vote. Beginning at 8 a.m. at City Hall in the City of Falls Church (300 Park Ave.) can cast their in-person absentee vote. Theo K. Stamos and David W. Deane are the two candidates vying for votes in the Democratic Primary. Voter registration ends Aug. 1.

People can vote between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday, Aug. 20 form 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“We try to make it convenient for people,” city spokeswoman Barbara Gordon said of the Saturday voting hours on Aug. 20. “We want to make it as easy as possible.”

Absentee voting by mail is also available but the office must receive the application by Aug. 16 (a week before Election Day).   Absentee voter applications are available on the city’s website (search voter registration) or call 703-248-5085.
