Local Entrepreneur 'Dreams of Salsa and Tacos'
Mary O'Donnell has started an online fundraising campaign to help start a new mobile food business.
A Falls Church entrepreneur hopes to start a mobile food business to bring tacos to the (hungry) masses.
Mary O'Donnell, founder of MOD Arts in Falls Church, has started a fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo to help fund a food cart, selling homemade tacos and salsa. She was inspired to start a food cart about a year and a half ago, while working the snack bar at her sons' lacrosse game, according to her campaign website.
O'Donnell plans to use the funds raised to pay for a year's deposit on a commercial kitchen space, hire a part-time sous chef, and pay for startup and marketing costs. So far, she has raised $500 online with a little less than three days left in her campaign.
