Man Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter for Killing Falls Church Motorist

Jose Ernesto Tejada Hinojosa also charged with DWI.

Fairfax County police have charged a drunk driving man with involuntary manslaughter after a motorist in another car he hit head on died.

Jose Ernesto Tejada Hinojosa, 44, of Maryland, drove his 2000 Chrysler minivan westbound in the eastbound lane of Columbia Pike on June 5 just after 4:30 a.m., according to police. Hinojosa slammed into a 1997 Honda, operated by Ahmed Eshan, 54, of Falls Church, head on in the intersection of Columbia Pike and Powell Lane, according to police.

Eshan was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he died June 21 from his injuries.

Hinojosa was not injured.

Police also charged Hinojosa with driving while intoxicated.
