Power Restored to More Than 300 Homes Saturday in Falls Church Area

The area without power was located near Seven Corners and West Falls Church; another area, Pimmit Hills, was also suffering a power outage.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- More than 300 homes were without power Saturday afternoon in the Falls Church area, according to Dominion Power. Northern Virginia was under a Wind Advisory Saturday, but no reason was given for the power outage. The power outage hit two areas near Falls Church Saturday: 251 homes in the area near Seven Corners and West Falls Church, and 66 homes in the Pimmit Hills area. The Dominion maps below show the two areas without power:

Dominion estimates that power would be restored Saturday by 4 p.m. for the Seven Corners/West Falls Church outage.

Northern Virginia was under a Wind Advisory Saturday until 6 p.m. Wind gusts were forecast to reach up to 45-50 MPH.

In all there were more than 5,000 homes or businesses without power Saturday afternoon in Northern Virginia, according to Dominion. Other areas without power Saturday included the Great Falls area, a neighborhood in Annandale and a neighborhood in Arlington, near the Pentagon.
