Mustangs Boys, Girls Soccer Teams Start Championship Hunt
Both teams take the field in the VHSL State soccer tournament.
Northampton High is first up for both the boys and girls soccer teams from George Mason High on Tuesday. The two Mustang varsity soccer teams start play in Group A of the Virginia High School League Soccer Championship Tournament.
The girls are the three time defending champions and the boys are the two time defending champions.
“Their historical success is a great source of pride for us – we don’t take it for granted, but it definitely provides a great spring time sense of hope, optimism and excitement,” Mustang Athletic Director Tom Horn said in a statement on Monday.

The girls take the field at home at 6 p.m. while the boys will travel to Northampton High and take the field at 6 p.m. as well.
