RTC Restaurant Sues Boston Properties; BXP Responds

The Reston Merchants Association might still be weighing their options when it comes to dealing with paid parking, but one restaurant at Reston Town Center is already moving forward with a lawsuit against manager Boston Properties. Jackson's Mighty Fine Food & Lucky Lounge at RTC has filed a lawsuit against BXP "over the cumbersome paid parking system," known as ParkRTC, that went live on Jan. 3 and ended free parking at the Town Center, according to a statement from the restaurant.

A teenager who fired a gun at a Wal-Mart security guard on March 12 is behind bars in the local jail, according to the Fairfax County police. The man, 18, was arrested Tuesday, taken to the Adult Detention Center in Fairfax City and charged with attempted malicious wounding and trespassing, according to a police report. He was apprehended by police at about 6:20 p.m. in the vicinity of Janna Lee Avenue and Audubon Avenue.

Man Wanted For Assaulting Woman in Ashburn: Police

A man is wanted for assaulting and seriously injuring a woman last Friday night in a parking lot in the 21000 block of Blossom Hill Terrace, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Also wanted is a passenger in the suspect's vehicle. The suspects were in a dark four-door car and were unknown to the victim.

Woman Attacks Man With Axe in Manassas

A woman tried to attack a male family member with an axe on the evening of March 23 during a argument in the 8700 block of Yorkshire Lane, according to Prince William County Police. She has been charged with malicious wounding and is being held without bond.

These Reston Roads Will Be Resurfaced in 2017

The Virginia Department of Transportation has a number of resurfacing projects scheduled for the Reston area in 2017, according to an interactive map posted on their website. Patch breaks down each project and what it will entail.
