Week in Review: Governor Rolls Through Falls Church

Falls Church Water was in the headlines again last week with both the City of Falls Church and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers releasing statements about the aborted sale of the water company.

The city said they are the situation and don’t have a definite answer for what to do next.

Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) rolled through Falls Church last week to celebrate the opening of Acentia’s Northern Virginia headquarters and to that will make other companies want to move to the area.

Fairfax County police are urging people not to cross Gallows Road by the Dunn Loring Metro station. Starting June 4, those found in the busy intersection could face a $250 ticket.

Falls Church High had a lot to celebrate last week. The school announced that first year soccer coach Kris Benton was named and orchestra president and senior earned a scholarship to attend James Madison University.
