First Annual Region-wide Affordable Housing Expo Coming to Fairfax County
The Northern Virginia Housing Opportunities Expo, the area’s first annual region-wide affordable housing expo, will be held on Saturday, June 25, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Expo is hosted by the Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance, in cooperation with the counties of Arlington, Fairfax and Loudoun; the Cities of Alexandria and Falls Church; the Town of Herndon; Cardinal Bank, and George Mason Mortgage. The event will be held at T.C. Williams High School, 3330 King St. in Alexandria.

Concerts in the Park Series Back in Falls Church
The 19th Annual Falls Church Concerts in the Park series is back and will go on every Thursday at 7 p.m. from June 23- Aug. 4. Each concert also features local artists and their artwork. All concerts are free to the public and are held at Cherry Hill Park, 312 Park Ave. In the event of rain, concerts will be held in the Falls Church Community Center located next to the park at 223 Little Falls St.

Civil War Premiere in Falls Church on Friday Kicks off Sesquicentennial Weekend
“Ballooning in the Civil War” will premiere Friday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m. inside the City of Falls Church Community Center. The film was shot at the Civil War Ballooning Symposium held at The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum on June 11th with three leading national experts on the topic.
The City of Falls Church Sesquicentennial Weekend follows the movie premiere with the Thaddeus Lowe Balloon Demonstration, Saturday, June 25, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Cherry Hill Park, 312 Park Ave. and the Civil War Sesquicentennial Picnic, Sunday, June 26 . 4 – 7 p.m., Frady Park – Corner of E. Broad and North Fairfax Streets. There will be plenty of free parking at Falls Church Presbyterian, corner of E. Broad and N. Fairfax Street.
