1 Killed, 1 Injured In 3-Vehicle Crash In Stafford County: Sheriff
Ivy Watkins-Harris, 82, of Stafford, was pronounced dead at the scene, Stafford County deputies said.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — One person had died following a crash involving several vehicles Wednesday in Stafford County, deputies said. Another person was injured.
According to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, around 11:59 a.m., deputies responded to 518 Shelton Shop Road in Stafford for reports of a three-vehicle crash.
Deputies said a northbound Chevy Malibu swerved across the center double yellow line and sideswiped a Ford truck. The Chevy then struck a southbound Infinity SUV head on.

The driver of the Chevy and lone occupant, Ivy Watkins-Harris, 82, of Stafford, was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said.
"The crash shows consistency with Harris going through a medical emergency at the time of the crash," the sheriff's office said in a news release.

Deputies said one of the other drivers involved did suffer injuries and was transported to the hospital. Two children were properly restrained in one of the vehicles and were not injured.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Ms. Watkins-Harris. We wish the other driver a speedy recovery," the sheriff's office said in a news release.
