2nd Suspect Arrested in Transgender Beating
Police say two more suspects remain unidentified and at large.

A second suspect has been arrested in the mob-like attack of a trangender woman in the Bragg Hill area of Fredericksburg. According to police, 19-year-old Farkeem French turned himself in earlier this morning and was charged with malicious wounding by mob. Police say two additional suspects are still unidentified and at-large.
Already behind bars for the incident is 18-year-old Fredericksburg resident Laqueta Webb, who is being held at Rapphannock Regional Jail under no bond.

Police say the three assailants surrounded the victim, taunting her before forcing her to the ground. Once on the ground, police say the victim was struck with hands, feet and a discarded metal broom stick.
The beating continued until witnesses say a group of neighbors confronted the assailants, with one neighbor throwing her body on top of the victim to shield her from blows.

The victim denied medical treatment despite suffered numerous facial injuries as well as bruising on the hands and knees.
Police say that they did receive a number of 911 calls reporting a large fight as the incident happened.
The victim was able to describe her assailants, and witnesses provided license plate numbers for two suspect vehicles and identifying one of the male attackers by a street name. Police believe all of the assailants to be local residents.
