2nd Suspect In Fatal Shooting In Custody In West Virginia: Police

A second suspect wanted in the killing of 23-year-old Tyler Lee Jones surrendered to authorities in Berkeley, West Virginia.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Fredericksburg man wanted for the killing of 23-year-old Tyler Lee Jones early Saturday morning is in police custody, according to authorities.

On Thursday morning, Elijah Musgrove turned himself in to the Berkeley County, West Virginia Sheriff’s Department, according to police.

Musgrove will remain in custody in West Virginia until he can be transferred back to Fredericksburg to face charges of second-degree murder, gun possession by a felon and using a gun to commit a felony, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.

Officers responding around 1 a.m. Saturday to gunshots found Jones injured on Charles Street, police said, adding he was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

Fredericksburg Police detectives said Izaiah Jabbar Daniels, 21, of Woodford, is incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail, facing charges of second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office apprehended Daniels during a vehicle stop. The Fredericksburg Police Department obtained warrants and took Daniels into custody.
Police said the shooting stemmed from an altercation between known parties.
