Name Of 3rd VA Mass Shooting Victim Released; 4th Suspect Charged
A 19-year-old from Spotsylvania County has been identified as the third person killed in the April 8 mass shooting, authorities say.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Sincere Devon Fitz, a 19-year-old from Spotsylvania County, was identified on Monday as the third person killed during the April 8 mass shooting in the area of Olde Greenwich Circle, according to authorities.
Spotsylvania County residents Chase Feaster and Alonzo Goffney, both 18, had previously been identified as the other two fatalities from the shooting. Three other people were injured in the gun battle in the Olde Greenwich Circle area, authorities said.
Also on Monday, the 16-year-old suspect who had been hospitalized with a gunshot wound last week has been released and will be held at the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center without bond, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

This means that all four of the suspects in the shooting, which authorities believe involved an illegal gun sale and robbery, are incarcerated. Each suspect has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and unlawful assembly, according to the sheriff’s office.
Jeremiah Upson, 18, is the only suspect whom authorities have identified, while the other two are juveniles, one is 16 years old and the other os 17 years old.

The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of a shooting about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and deputies found multiple people at the scene had been shot.
WJLA reporter Lianna Golden told WTOP that witnesses described the gunshots as sounding like “a machine gun,” and they saw young men walking down the street with “guns in their hands.”
