Here are the top three stories today in Fredericksburg:
- Amazon is one of several tech companies to file requests for rezoning in Spotsylvania County. The Summit Crossing Tech Campus is awaiting a rezoning from rural to industrial in the Massaponax area. This 231-acre property will include a data center and some public utilities. If the rezoning proposal is approved, the project will take from 10 to 15 years to complete. (Fredericksburg.com)
- The Fredericksburg Nationals shut out Delmarva Shorebirds by winning both games played against each other on Tuesday. The first game, a resumption of a previously suspended game, was filled with bated breath until the clock ran out with a 7-5 win for the home team. The second game was more evenly matched with neither side scoring big, ending in extra innings and a final score of 2-1 for the Nationals. (Fredericksburg Today)
- Have you paid your property taxes yet? If not, be aware that the Jun. 5 deadline for first-half taxes is just around the corner! Phone, mail, and secure online options are among the many payment methods presented by the Stafford County Treasurer's Office. (Fredericksburg Today)
