Armed Robbery at Verizon Store

Three individuals are wanted for armed robbery of the Verizon Wireless store at 3500 C Plank Road, said Cpt. Jeffery Pearce, spokesperson for the Spotsylavania County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff's units responded to the store at about 9 p.m. Monday. The lone employee reported being rushed by three male suspects wearing masks, Pearce said.

"One of the suspects had a handgun, threatened the employee and held him at gun point while the other two suspects took several iPhones from the back room," Pearce said. 

The suspects fled on foot out the rear door. Units quickly established a perimeter. "A K9 track was done and it abruptly ended at a nearby business," Pearce said. It appeared that the suspects got into a vehicle and left the area.
