Be A Safe Driver MVP on Super Bowl Sunday

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office will have extra deputies on the road Super Bowl Sunday to help ensure the roads are safe and help stop anyone who makes the dangerous decision to drink and drive, Bill Kennedy, a Sheriff's Office spokesman, said.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Virginia Smart, Safe and Sober Campaign is spreading the word about designating a sober driver on Super Bowl Sunday.

"Avoid the unsportsmanlike conduct of driving drunk," Sheriff Charles Jett said.  "Instead of choosing to drink and drive, choose a sober designated driver," he said. "Hand off your keys so that you, your passengers and everyone on our roads can safely arrive home.”
