Bomb Threat At Fredericksburg Bank Lands VA Man In Jail: Police
Fredericksburg police arrested a 34-year-old King George man who they say gave a note to a bank teller saying he had a bomb and a firearm.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 34-year-old man who told a Fredericksburg bank teller that he had a firearm and an explosive device last Friday is facing bomb threat charges, according to authorities.
Around 3:45 p.m., the Fredericksburg E-911 Center received a report of a bomb threat at the United Bank located in the 500 block of Emancipation Highway.
"A male suspect entered the bank and passed a written note to a teller stating that he was in possession of a firearm and an explosive device," according to the incident report. "The suspect, described as a Black male wearing a green hoodie, exited the bank shortly after."

When officers arrived on the scene, they located the suspect sitting outside the nearby FasMart, according to police. After the man was taken into custody without incident, the officers searched the area, including vehicles nearby, but no explosive devices or weapons were found.
Police arrested 34-year-old Reginald Robinson Jr. of King George and charged him with making a bomb threat, according to police. He was then held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

On Monday morning, Robinson was arraigned in Fredericksburg General District Court and a preliminary hearing was set for 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 13, according to court documents.
If Robinson is convicted on the bomb threat charge, which is a Class 5 felony, he could be sentenced to one to 10 years in prison, or up to 12 months in jail, along with a fine of up to $2,500, under the Code of Virginia.
The day before his arrest outside the Fredericksburg FasMart, Robinson appeared in Spotsylvania General District Court after being arrested for public intoxication earlier in the day, according to court records. Robinson waived his right for a hearing and instead paid a $25 fine and an additional $91 in court costs.
