Boy Shot in Drive By Shooting
Police ask for the public's help in identifying suspect in drive by shooting.

Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying whoever was responsible for a drive by shooting which left an 11-year-old boy shot.
The incident occurred around 3:12 a.m. when Spotsylvania County Sheriff's received a report of a drive by shooting in the 200 block of Burlington Drive. The family of the child told staff in the 911 center that they would be taking their son to the hospital for his wounds. Sheriff's arriving at the home discovered two bullet holes in the front wall of the house near a bedroom window.
Another deputy responded to Mary Washington Hospital and found the child to be suffering from a small caliber gunshot wound to the side of his body. The child was in stable condition.

The parents were able to provide a possible description of the suspect's vehicle seen in the area at the time of the shooting.
